Puppets in progress

Hi ho guys. I just thought that I could give you a quick peek at what I'm working on right now.

These are the unfinished head and arms for a Sherlock Hemlock puppet replica from Sesame Street. I don't think anyone else has built a Sherlock replica but I'm giving it a shot.

Next is another obscure muppet that nobody has ever made into a replica, it's Spamela Hamderson from Muppets Tonight. I have so far build the face, torso and ears so she still needs a wig for hair, arms, legs and clothes. And I will have to give her a more appropriate outfit instead of her signature green jacket and red bikini just to keep things kid friendly.

Scooter Replica

Hi ho again muppet fans, today I going to show you muppet replica number 6, it's Scooter.

I made him using the same peach poplar fleece as Animal. his glasses are just an adjusted pair of soft plastic toy glasses with split ping pong ball eyes and felt pupils, his hair is made from scraps of Fozzie's towel, his jacket is the same fleece I used for Kermit with buttons sewn on, he has a red felt mouth and a piece of a blue jean leg for his sleeve (but you can't see it in this photo), he has bendy fingers and wooden barbecue skewers for arm rods.

I really like how Scooter turned out. Scooter is probably one of my favorite muppets. He is a half bodied Scooter (one of my only muppets without legs)

The design was based on an 80's Scooter like you see in The Muppets Take Manhattan, The Muppets a Celebration of 30 years and The Fantastic Miss Piggy Show.

Well that's Scooter and again if you have requests more more replicas let me know.

Animal replica

Okay it's now my 5th muppet replica page and this one is about my Animal replica.

Animal is made of peach polar fleece and has hair made from a hot pink feather boa, his eyes are ping pong balls and his nose is an orange ping pong ball, he has a felt tongue and plastic teeth. I used the same head, arm and leg patterns as Miss Piggy which were from the book "Dressing the Naked Hand" and I used two wooden barbecue skewers for arm rods.

His eyebrows are a black feather trim and the best part about him is he has a slide inside his head so he can blink his eyes. This is my first puppet with an eye mechanism.

His torn up clothes are made of scrap fabric and old rags. He also has some wires inside his hands so you can bend his fingers.

His look was based on an early 70's version of Animal like from season 1 of The Muppet Show and The Muppet Show Pilot.

Well that's my Animal replica. If you have requests for other muppet replicas let me know in the comments below.

Gonzo the Great replica

Now I am going to show you one of my favorite replicas that I built and it's Gonzo the Great.

Gonzo is made of blue fur. His nose is carved from blue foam and covered with sky blue netting. His eyes are made of split ping pong balls with felt pupils and eyelids. His clothes are just doll clothes that I can change around. His boots are glue on and the are made of metallic blue fabric.

This was originally and experimental Cookie Monster replica but he was too small and too skinny to be Cookie so I recycled him into Gonzo but I am planning on rebuilding Cookie soon.

I think that he turned out just great and you will defiantly be seeing him in all my videos (you already saw him in Jim Henson the true genius) well that's all and next you will see Animal so see you soon.

Fozzie Bear replica

Wocka wocka fans. Now I will show you my Fozzie Bear replica just like I said I would.

Fozzie is made of an orange towel. He has white polka dotted fabirc as his tie and some brown fabric that I just found for his hat. His eyes are spoons with felt eyelids and Sherpa eyelashes. His nose is just a magenta pom pom. His mouth plate is made of red cardboard and he has a felt tongue.

He has on live hand and the other hand is just fastened on to his body.

Well that's my Fozzie Bear replica, next up you will see Gonzo until then wocka wocka and goodbye.

Miss Piggy Replica

Hello again. Now I will show you my Miss Piggy Replica.

Piggy is 21 inches tall. She is made of a beige polar fleece blanket. Her hair is a blonde wig that I bought at a thrift store. Her gloves are made with metallic blue fabric. Her dress is made from some navy blue fabric with a flower design. she has small fish net stockings. Her nose and ears are carved from blue foam and covered with fleece. Her eyes are white felt with blue felt eyelids and pupils, purple feather eyelashes and black sharpie eyeliner. Her mouth plate is red cardboard with a felt tongue. Her shoes are just baby sized shoes that came with a previous puppet and last but not least she has purple feathered coughs around her shoulders.

Oh and of course she has two wooden barbecue skewers that I gave her as arm rods and her torso, arms and lags are stuffed with polyester bating.

The patterns I used for her are all from the book "Dressing the Naked Hand" (except for the torso, I made that from scratch).

And that's my Miss Piggy replica, next you will probably see Fozzie Bear so stay tuned.

Kermit the Frog replica

Hi ho fans. Today I'm going to show you my Kermit the Frog puppet replica.

Okay so my Kermit replica is 16 inches tall ans is made out of a green polyester fleece blanket and yes I know hat he is sort of aqua green but it was the only green I could find and I like it. He has ping pong ball eyes with felt pupils. The tongue is made of pink foam paper and a mouth plate made out of red cardboard. His collar has all eleven points and is made of thick lime green felt.

I hand sewed his head, torso, arms and legs but the flippers, hands and other features are hot glued. His fingers are bendable and his body is stuffed with polyester bating. His arm rods are wooden barbecue skewers.

I really like how he turned out and I think the best part is the face I mean it's pretty realistic.

Well that's all for today, next I will show you my Miss Piggy replica so stay tuned.
